The BMW iX2 is equipped with a high-voltage lithium-ion battery pack featuring a net usable capacity of 64.8 kWh. This fifth-generation BMW eDrive technology is integrated into the vehicle's floor to lower the center of gravity and improve handling. It supports DC fast charging up to 130 kW, allowing a 10% to 80% charge in approximately 29 minutes.

The iX2 xDrive30 utilizes dual electric motors—one on each axle—to deliver a combined system output of 313 bhp (including temporary boost). The BMW iX2 uses a single-speed fixed-ratio transmission. Unlike traditional multi-gear systems, this electric drive unit (EDU) integrates the motor, power electronics, and transmission into a single compact housing, reducing mechanical loss and weight.
