The BMW iX1 utilizes the fifth-generation BMW eDrive technology. It features a high-voltage lithium-ion battery pack integrated into the floor of the vehicle to lower the center of gravity. The usable energy content of 64.8 kWh supports high-density energy storage, enabling competitive range within the premium compact SUV segment.

In the xDrive30 trim, the dual-motor setup produces a combined output of 313 bhp (including a temporary boost). The eDrive20 variant, which is the front-wheel-drive entry model, produces approximately 204 bhp. This power is delivered instantly, a hallmark of BMW’s synchronous electric motors.

The xDrive30 delivers a massive 494 Nm of torque available from 0 RPM, providing effortless overtaking and brisk city acceleration. The single-motor eDrive20 variant offers 250 Nm. The torque distribution is managed electronically to ensure maximum traction at all times.
