Engine Displacement: 334 cc
The Perak utilizes the 334cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder "Alpha" engine. Unlike the Jawa 350’s version, this motor features a higher compression ratio and different mapping, resulting in a much more aggressive power delivery suited for a performance-oriented Bobber.
Max Power: 29.9 PS
Generating nearly 30 PS, the Perak outclasses the Jawa 350 in pure speed. The power is concentrated in the mid-to-high range, allowing for a punchier "stop-light to stop-light" riding experience and effortless highway overtaking.
Max Torque: 30 Nm
With 30 Nm of torque available at 5,500 RPM, the Perak offers a "torquey" feel that matches its mean aesthetic. The engine uses a larger 81mm bore to achieve this grunt, making it feel more like a modern sport-cruiser than a traditional vintage bike.
Gearbox: 6-speed
The 6-speed constant mesh gearbox features optimized ratios that are slightly shorter in the first three gears for quick acceleration, with a tall 6th gear to keep the vibrations low during high-speed cruising.
Clutch Type: Assist and Slipper Clutch
Recent updates have added the Assist and Slipper clutch to the Perak. This mitigates the "back-torque" during aggressive downshifting, ensuring the rear tire doesn't lose traction—a crucial feature given the Perak’s higher power.
