Suspension: 3-Link Rigid Axle with Coil Spring
The Jimny uses a purist off-road chassis: a ladder-frame structure paired with 3-link rigid axle suspension both at the front and rear. This setup allows for superior wheel articulation; when one wheel is pushed up by an obstacle, the axle pushes the other wheel down to maintain contact. Braking is handled by ventilated discs at the front and traditional drums at the rear. It rides on 195/80 R15 tyres mounted on either styled steel wheels or gunmetal grey alloy wheels.
