The Jimny features a robust drivetrain built for punishment. It offers a choice between a 5-speed manual or a vintage but reliable 4-speed torque converter automatic. Crucially, the power is managed by Suzuki’s ALLGRIP PRO 4WD system, which includes a manual transfer case allowing the driver to shift between 2H (High), 4H (High), and 4L (Low Range). The 4L mode provides a massive torque multiplication factor for crawling over rocks. The clutch is a standard single-plate dry type designed for durability.
