The B10 features a dedicated Electric Vehicle Single Speed Transmission. This transmission eliminates the need for gear shifts, providing a seamless and uninterrupted flow of power to the wheels. The reduction gear ratio is optimized to balance low-end torque for city driving and efficiency at cruising speeds. It is operated via an electronic column shifter located behind the steering wheel.
Drive Type: Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD)
The Leapmotor B10 is built on a Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) architecture. This layout is favored for its superior handling dynamics and tighter turning radius compared to Front-Wheel Drive alternatives. By placing the motor at the rear, the front wheels are dedicated solely to steering, which enhances the steering feel and provides better traction during acceleration.
