The Honda City e:HEV features a self-charging Lithium-Ion battery hidden beneath the boot floor. While it reduces the boot space to 410 litres (from the petrol’s 506L), it enables the car to run in pure EV mode for nearly 60-80% of typical city commutes. The fuel tank remains at 40 litres, but thanks to the hybrid efficiency, the effective driving range on a single tank can exceed 1,000 km—a feat few sedans can match.
