Gearbox and Drive Type: AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G / 4MATIC+
For the first time in SL history, power is sent to all four wheels via the AMG Performance 4MATIC+ fully variable all-wheel-drive system. It is paired with the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G (Multi-Clutch Transmission), which replaces the torque converter with a wet start-off clutch. This setup reduces weight, improves response, and allows for lightning-fast multi-downshifts.
