Gearbox Type: 5-MT / 5-AMT / 6-AT (Torque Converter)
The Fronx offers three transmission choices. The 1.2L comes with a 5-speed Manual or a 5-speed AMT (AGS). The 1.0L Turbo offers a 5-speed Manual or a sophisticated 6-speed Torque Converter Automatic with paddle shifters, providing smoother shifts than the AMT.
Drive Type: FWD (Front Wheel Drive)
All variants of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx are Front-Wheel Drive (FWD). The engine is transversely mounted, sending power to the front axles, which optimizes cabin space and fuel efficiency.
Clutch Type: Single Plate Dry Clutch
Both manual and AMT versions utilize a conventional single-plate dry friction clutch. The 6-speed Automatic version, however, uses a fluid coupling (torque converter) with planetary gear sets.
