The Superb comes standard with a 7-speed DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox) automatic. This dual-clutch transmission provides lightning-fast gear changes that are almost imperceptible to the driver, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted flow of power.
Drive Type: FWD / AWD (4x4)
While the standard model is Front-Wheel Drive (FWD), the range-topping variants feature an All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system with an electronic multi-plate clutch. This system can distribute torque between the front and rear axles in milliseconds depending on grip levels.
Clutch Type: Wet Dual Clutch
Unlike the dry-clutch units in smaller models, the Superb’s 2.0 TSI is paired with a wet dual-clutch system. The clutches are submerged in oil to manage the higher torque loads and provide better thermal management during heavy usage.
