Gearbox: INVECS-III CVT with 6-Step Sport Mode
The ASX utilizes the INVECS-III (Intelligent & Innovative Vehicle Electronic Control System) Continuously Variable Transmission. Unlike traditional automatics, the CVT provides a seamless transition between gear ratios, ensuring the engine stays in its most efficient power band. The "Sport Mode" provides six simulated gear ratios, which can be manually selected via the gear lever or paddle shifters for a more engaged driving feel.
