Gearbox Type: 6-Speed Manual / 6-Speed Torque Converter
The standard Pikup comes with a 6-speed manual transmission featuring a cable-shift mechanism for smoother engagement. However, the 2026 Global Pikup version introduces an Aisin-sourced 6-speed automatic torque converter, bringing lifestyle comfort to the rugged platform.
Drive Type: 4WD with "Shift-on-the-Fly"
The vehicle features a part-time 4WD system with a BorgWarner transfer case. Drivers can switch from 2H (Rear-Wheel Drive) to 4H (Four-Wheel Drive High) at speeds up to 80 km/h. It also includes a 4L (Low Range) mode for extreme off-roading and a Mechanical Locking Differential (MLD) at the rear.
Clutch Type: Single Plate Dry Clutch / Wet Multi-Disc (AT)
The manual variant uses a heavy-duty hydraulic single-plate dry clutch designed to withstand the heat generated during heavy towing. The automatic variants utilize a wet multi-disc setup integrated within the torque converter.
