About Henrey Volts in Nepal

The Henrey Mincar is a compact and efficient electric vehicle designed specifically for urban environments like Kathmandu. Developed by Beijing Henrey Automobile Technology, this mini hatchback prioritizes maneuverability and ease of parking without compromising on modern interior aesthetics. Its small footprint makes it an ideal choice for navigating narrow streets and heavy traffic, providing a sustainable alternative for daily commuters looking to reduce their carbon footprint.

The vehicle is built on a dedicated electric platform, featuring a 16.5 kWh lithium-ion battery that offers a practical range for city driving. In Nepal, the brand has gained popularity due to its affordability and the "doorstep service" model introduced by its authorized distributor. With its recent rebranding to the 'Volts' series, the car now comes with updated features like better infotainment systems and improved safety components, making it one of the most competitive entry-level EVs in the Nepali market.

Henrey Volts Full Specifications & Features

Performance & Powertrain

1. Battery & Range: 16.5 kWh | 200 km

The Henrey Mincar is powered by a 16.5 kWh Lithium-ion battery pack, delivering a certified NEDC range of up to 200 km. It is designed for efficient home charging, requiring approximately 4 hours for a full charge using a standard 15A AC socket, making it a highly practical "Family Electric Vehicle" (FEV) for daily urban use.

2. Motor Output: 35 kW (47.5 PS) | 102 Nm

Driven by a Rear-Mounted Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor, the Mincar produces 35 kW of power and 102 Nm of instant torque. This configuration allows the vehicle to tackle gradients of up to 25% easily while maintaining a smooth, shift-free driving experience through its single-speed automatic reduction gearbox.

Dimensions & Physical Specs

1. Footprint: 3380mm (L) x 1499mm (W) x 1610mm (H)

Despite its compact exterior, the Mincar features a 2440mm wheelbase that provides a surprisingly spacious 5-seater cabin. Its 165mm ground clearance is specifically suited for South Asian road conditions, ensuring the under-chassis battery remains protected during city commutes.

Safety & Technology

1. Core Safety: ABS + EBD & Hill Hold

Safety is managed via a standard Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD). To assist in hilly urban terrains like Kathmandu, it includes Hill Start Assist, preventing the vehicle from rolling back on inclines.

2. Tech Interface: 10-inch LCD Touchscreen

The interior is dominated by a 10-inch integrated digital display. This system handles Bluetooth connectivity, FM radio, and provides the visual feed for the high-definition reverse camera, consolidating essential vehicle functions into a modern, minimalist dashboard.
