Standard across all models, the ESC system includes Traction Control and Trailer Sway Control (TSC). TSC can detect trailer oscillations and apply individual brakes to the truck to stabilize the entire rig.

Hill Start Assist (HSA) and Hill Descent Control (HDC) are standard. HDC is particularly useful in off-road conditions, allowing the vehicle to crawl down steep, slippery slopes at a controlled speed without driver brake input.

Double Cab models are fitted with two ISOFIX child seat anchor points and top-tether points, reflecting the vehicle's dual-use role as a family weekend adventurer.

The D-Max holds a 5-star ANCAP rating, scoring highly in adult and child occupant protection. This rating is largely due to the IDAS camera-based safety system which provides pre-collision braking and lane-keep assist.
