Gearbox Type: 8-Speed Steptronic Sport
BMW’s 8-speed Steptronic transmission remains the industry standard for shift speed and refinement. It includes steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters and a "Sprint" function—holding the left paddle shifts the car into the lowest possible gear and optimizes all systems for maximum acceleration.
Drive Type: All-Wheel Drive (xDrive)
The intelligent xDrive system provides fully variable power distribution between the front and rear axles. In normal driving, it biases power to the rear for a classic BMW feel, but it can shift 100% of the torque to either axle within milliseconds to maintain traction on slippery or unpaved surfaces.
