The "Epic" Swift debuts the all-new Z12E engine, a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol unit. Unlike the outgoing 4-cylinder K-series, this engine is optimized for high thermal efficiency and improved low-end torque. It produces a maximum power of 80.46 bhp @ 5700 rpm and a peak torque of 111.7 Nm @ 4300 rpm. The valve train follows a DOHC (Double Overhead Camshaft) setup with 4 valves per cylinder. The fuel system utilizes Multi-Point Fuel Injection (MPFI) paired with an electric water pump to reduce mechanical losses. In terms of performance, it clocks 0-100 km/h in approximately 13.5 to 14 seconds, reaching a top speed of 160 km/h.
