The Renault Lodgy is powered by the internationally acclaimed 1.5-litre dCi (Common Rail Direct Injection) diesel engine. In its peak 110 PS tune, this engine utilizes a variable geometry turbocharger (VGT) to minimize lag and maximize mid-range punch. It features a 4-cylinder, 8-valve SOHC configuration that prioritizes torque delivery and fuel efficiency over high-revving performance.

While a lower 85 PS state of tune was available for urban efficiency, the flagship 110 PS variant offers 108.5 bhp, making it one of the more powerful MPVs in its class. This power allows the vehicle to maintain highway speeds comfortably even when fully loaded with seven or eight passengers.
