Gearbox: INVECS-III CVT with 8-Step Sport Mode
The transmission is an advanced Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) that has been programmed with "Step-shift" logic. This mimics the feel of a traditional 8-speed automatic, providing crisp "shifts" during hard acceleration rather than the "rubber-band" feel common in older CVTs. Steering-column-mounted paddle shifters allow the driver to override the system for manual control.
Drive Type: Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC)
Derived from Mitsubishi's rally heritage, the S-AWC system is an integrated vehicle dynamics control system. It doesn't just manage front-to-rear torque; it uses Active Yaw Control (AYC) to manage braking and torque between the left and right wheels. This significantly improves cornering performance and stability on slippery surfaces like snow or gravel.
