Gearbox Type: Single Speed Reduction Gear
The Creta EV utilizes a high-efficiency single-speed reduction gearbox. Unlike traditional multispeed transmissions, this setup provides a continuous, shift-free flow of power. The gear selection is managed via a unique steering-column-mounted Shift-by-Wire (SBW) selector, freeing up space in the center console.
Drive Type: Front Wheel Drive (FWD)
Power is delivered exclusively to the front wheels. The FWD layout is optimized for urban efficiency and predictable handling. While there is no AWD option at launch, the vehicle features sophisticated traction control systems to manage the instant electric torque on slippery surfaces.
