Gearbox Type: 2-Speed DHT (Dedicated Hybrid Transmission)
Unlike a CVT or a standard torque converter, the H6 uses a sophisticated 2-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission. This unit features two specific gear ratios for the engine: one for mid-speeds and one for high-speeds. This allows the engine to stay in its most efficient operating window more often than a single-speed EV or a traditional multi-speed gearbox.
Drive Type: FWD (Front-Wheel Drive)
The standard HEV model is configured as a Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) vehicle. Power from both the motor and engine is funneled through the DHT to the front wheels. This setup maximizes interior space by removing the need for a bulky transmission tunnel and reduces mechanical losses, aiding the overall fuel economy.
Clutch Type: Electronic Dual-Clutch (Internal to DHT)
The DHT system manages power flow via electronically controlled clutches that engage or disengage the engine from the drivetrain. This allows for "Series Mode" (engine acts as a generator) and "Parallel Mode" (engine and motor both drive wheels) without any jerky transitions or physical clutch pedal requirement.
