Performance and Engine of Toyota Land Cruiser 70 Series in Nepal

Engine Displacement: 2,755 cc

The latest iteration of the Land Cruiser 70 swaps the aging V8 for the highly efficient 1GD-FTV 2.8-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine. This powerplant delivers a maximum power of 201 bhp (150 kW) at 3,000–3,400 rpm and a robust torque of 500 Nm (with the Automatic) or 450 Nm (with the Manual). Despite fewer cylinders, it provides superior low-end grunt and better fuel efficiency than its predecessors. The 0-100 km/h sprint is roughly 12-14 seconds, with a top speed electronically capped at approximately 160 km/h to maintain stability on its heavy-duty chassis.
