The 2026 Legender is powered by the high-output 2.8-litre 1GD-FTV Turbo-Diesel engine. It produces 204 PS of power and a massive 500 Nm of peak torque (between 1600-2800 rpm) when paired with the automatic transmission. For the 2026 model year, Toyota has introduced the 48V Mild-Hybrid "Neo Drive" system in select markets, which assists with smoother power delivery and an improved start-stop experience, while maintaining its 700 mm water-wading capability.
