The Grand Vitara offers two distinct 1.5-litre powertrains. The Strong Hybrid (TNGA) uses a 3-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery, allowing the car to run in EV mode for significant distances. The Mild Hybrid uses the 4-cylinder K15C engine with an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) for torque assist and idle start-stop.
