The TGDi variant is paired with a premium 6-speed Torque Converter automatic transmission sourced from AISIN, providing much smoother shifts compared to traditional AMTs. It utilizes a Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) layout. The drivetrain features a wet multi-plate clutch system within the automatic unit to handle the high torque output efficiently.
