The Mahindra XEV 9e is engineered on the native electric INGLO platform, offering a rear-wheel-drive setup that emphasizes performance. With the 79 kWh battery pack, it generates an impressive 282 bhp and 380 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in just 6.8 seconds. This powertrain also features a "Boost Mode" that provides 10 seconds of peak torque for rapid overtaking, while the multiple regeneration modes (L0 to L3 and Auto) allow for efficient energy recovery.
The XEV 9e uses Blade LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery technology. A standout feature for 2026 is the lifetime battery warranty offered to the first owner. The 79 kWh pack is the long-range specialist, while the 59 kWh pack serves as the more accessible entry point.
Both variants deliver a consistent 380 Nm of torque. The high-performance 79 kWh motor allows this large coupe-SUV to accelerate from 0–100 km/h in just 6.8 seconds. It features a rear-motor, Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) layout for better traction and driving dynamics.
With a claimed MIDC range of up to 656 km, the XEV 9e is built for long-distance travel. In real-world highway and city conditions, users can expect a reliable range of 400–500 km on a single charge.
The "Cinemascope" cockpit features three high-definition 12.3-inch screens (31.24 cm each) spanning the entire dashboard. This includes a dedicated screen for the front passenger to stream OTT content or play games using a console.
The DOMS (Driver and Occupant Monitoring System) uses a wide-FOV camera to track driver fatigue and send alerts. The "LiveYourMood" feature syncs the 64-color ambient lighting, 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound (with Dolby Atmos), and climate control to pre-set themes like "Calm" or "Club."
The XEV 9e achieved a perfect 32/32 score for Adult Occupant Protection at Bharat NCAP. Safety kit includes 6–7 airbags, Level 2+ ADAS with 5 radars, a 360-degree camera, and an automatic park feature that can be operated from outside the vehicle.
Despite its sloping coupe roofline, it offers a massive 663-liter boot and an additional 150-liter frunk (front trunk). The 207 mm ground clearance and 19-inch (optional 20-inch) wheels give it a commanding stance for rough roads.
