The V 300 (Petrol) features the M254 2.0-litre turbocharged engine delivering 231 bhp and 370 Nm, supported by a 48V mild-hybrid integrated starter-generator (ISG) that provides a "Boost" of 20 bhp and 200 Nm for effortless acceleration.

Both the petrol and diesel variants employ an in-line 4-cylinder layout with a Double Overhead Camshaft (DOHC) and 4 valves per cylinder. The petrol model uses a twin-scroll turbocharger with Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI), while the diesel model utilizes a high-pressure Common Rail Direct Injection (CRDI) system for maximum torque efficiency.
