Despite its increased weight due to the hybrid battery, the M5 remains violently fast, hitting 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds. Its top speed is electronically capped at 250 km/h but can be unlocked to 305 km/h with the optional M Driver’s Package.

The M5 features an 18.6 kWh lithium-ion battery located in the underbody. It offers a pure electric driving range of approximately 67–69 km, allowing for emission-free local travel in busy Indian metros. It supports AC charging at up to 11 kW.
